Matriarch Launch

On Friday night, the 15th April, we attended the grand launch of Matriarch – formally Hotstuff Marketing.

After many years in the business, Hotstuff Marketing has grown extensively, and although it will be keeping it’s token personal touch and customer relations, it’s new persona Matriarch will have a more stylish and classic image.

The launch cocktail party could not have been planned better – all in black and white decor, with blue lighting, the event was decorated in such a simple and classic way, with all-white arrangements of various flowers, in black vases, white couches and chairs laid out, a black and white checked dance floor, and 3 bespoke cocktails on the menu.  As each guest arrived, we were supplied with a laser-cut wooden token with a number on it – these would come in useful for the lucky draws that were happening later on in the evening.

As we sipped on the most delicious Activation Sensation cocktail (gin, lemon juice, orange blossom water and lavender syrup), we surveyed the trendy folk arriving in their black and white cocktail-best.  Entertainment for the beginning of the evening was provided by a blues and jazz singer, with a saxophone player mingling with the crowd, as we were served the most delicious canapés, which never seemed to finish.  The event planners ensured that we were always 100% comfortable, with a drink in hand, and having a fabulous time.

On one side, was a display of 3D printers, and there was even a photo booth set up outside, complete with props, where you could have instantly-printed photo strips to remember the night.  We were all provided with the hashtag for the evening, and the best photos were awarded prizes.  Each photo with the hashtag was also printed out by the photo booth, and hung along a peg-line, and you could lay claim to your photo if it caught your eye.

The Matriarch Managing Director Leanne Pechey, gave an emotional speech, and we all toasted the launch of the new name, as Goodluck came on to entertain us for the next hour.  They were incredible entertainers, and had the crowd on the dance floor in no time.

As waiters came around with trays of mini desserts and black and white cupcakes, the lucky draws took place, giving out prizes such as weekends away, year-long gym memberships and dinner for two on-board La Vue floating restaurant.

The event was all class and a complete and utter success.
